1st LSU FOOTBALL GAME

Saturday was a traditional LSU Football Saturday- Shower, dress to sweat, make the commute to campus with a car load and more, and then let the good times roll.

The Anything Geauxs Tailgate site was a five star event like always. The newest addition, The Mystery Machine/Nuisance Van with an air conditioned bar was the icing on the cake (and a great place for Jack to cool down and nap mid-day).

This year the crew was able to celebrate another Tiger joining the Anything Geauxs Group-Baby Saia. Betsy and Reid racked up with precious Tiger Gear for when the little one arrives.

Jack and McKenzie enjoyed their own VIP area full of toys and people stopping by to play with them....the fan pointed directly at their pad made have played a part in their popularity...but I'm sure them being cute was the main selling point.

Towards the early evening Jack was loosing steam...can't imagine why- this was the first time he was outside for more than an hour...why not jump in full force with 93 degree weather, tons of tailgators, and everything else that comes from Tiger Football.

By game time this is all that was left of little man Jack. Mom and Noel brought him home for a bath, bottle, and bed.

Nick and I went in on Dad's tickets. We have to admit that at half time we caved and called to check on Jack. What a game! The tailgating continued after the game while waiting for the traffic to die down and we left before they finished packing the van- at 2:30! We're getting to old for this. Sunday was for sure a day of recoup. Now the countdown continues til the game in November!

Jack's Ingural Flight

Friday morning Jack and I dropped Nick off at work and headed home to do last minute packing and cleaning. Around 2 we picked him up and headed to DFW to catch our flight to New Orleans.

Jack was so patient waiting for the Parking Lot Shuttle....then he had fun riding around not being in a car seat...Nick was a nervous nelly with me holding Jack so close to that pole...he only bumped his head once.

Jack did great on the plane. I must say I am glad that Nick was there though because we could toss him back and forth when his attention span would run thin with one of us. Overall Jack was a perfect angel...Nick, not so much. By the end of the flight Nick was sucking on Jack's bottle because his ears were acting up so much. When we got off one of the stuarts mentioned that he didn't even realize there was a baby on board...Geaux Jack!

The weather was nasty but the Relle's had parked the car in the garage so we avoided the rain, headed to Baton Rouge, and went to bed early to get lots of rest for our big day of Tailgating.

Parachute Playdate

Jack hosted a playgroup this afternoon. Cora (Mom-Amber), Nathan (Mom-Ashley), and Olivia (Mom-Karen) came over to play. We had snacks, toys, and even used Jack's new parachute which the kids loved. Here are some pictures from the afternoon.

The kiddos played around on the floor while the Mommies visited trading lots of parenting tips.

I think they were playing fair but from this picture it looks like Jack isn't sharing his block and Cora is going for Olivia's foot.

We moved the kids to our room so we could spread out and play with Jack's new parachute. There were lots of smiles, squeals, and intense watching from little Nathan.

After everyone left it was non-stop cleaning and last minute packing for our trip home tomorrow.

Standing and Sitting

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Don't be too fooled by this picture. Jack still can't get to a seated position when laying down...but when you help him sit up and there is any form of support around...this is what you get. Bet it won't be much longer before we have to lower that mattress and train him to only sleep in bed and not play.

Shopping with Jack is much better now that he can support himself in the shopping cart. He loves to look around at all the things and people. This is a rent a shopping cart cover until GG finishes his custom one.
