How Bout Them Tigers

For Nick's 30th Birthday he flew to New Orleans to go to the BCS National Championship Game. He had an extra ticket and took Papa C as his "date". They met up with Brian, Craig, Mary Beth, Nancy, and a few others to celebrate and cheer the Tigers on.

Here are the boys in the Quarter on Game Day.

The REAL Mozart

Here is a video of our little man making music at Papa C and Bebe's house. He has definitely proven he is a music man. Guess Nick and I will have to work on getting some rhythm.

Nick left a little while ago for the airport headed to New Orleans to see the Tigers play. Jack and I are off to pout.

And the Menu Tonight...

At Jack's 9 month appointment he got the go ahead to start on real people solids. We are still giving him baby food along with the solids because it takes so long for him to gum the food enough to swallow that after awhile I call time's up on the solids and top him off with puree. He is liking it so far...although I age with every feeding in fear that he is going to choke.

Here is his first plate of food...carrots, string cheese, turkey sticks, and pasta.

He LOVED the cheese! With every bite he would hum with excitement. During his meals he is finally started to drink out of the sippie cup...guess all that gumming made him thirsty. That one plate lasted 2 nights because there was so much on it and it took him so long to eat...It probably could have made it another night but for every Jack bite...I took 3 (except for the turkey sticks....that's shady)

The Tavares Family came over Thursday while Nick was working downtown. Ethan and Jack had fun playing in his "cage", Patrick enjoyed the Wii, and Lisa and I chatted. It was all fun and games til Jack tried to pinch Ethan's cheeks off-he doesn't know his own strength yet...

Today we went to Gymboree Open Gym to get some of Jack's wiggles out. He had more fun watching all the other kids though than playing. He's getting so good at moving around and exploring all the equipment.

Do you think we need to cut back on the orange food? Check out Jack's nose!!

Good-bye 2007-Hello 2008

Our New Year's was very uneventful...which was PERFECT! Chinese take out, Papa C made beverages, cake for dessert, and in bed by 10:30. Happy New Year!

New Year's Day morning we were trying to keep Jack up so he'd pass out hard in the car...but he didn't make it through his 10:30 bottle. Who could stay awake with a belly full, a fuzzy blanket, being held by Bebe all with a warm fire burning next to you.

Dad had been wanting to feed Jack some Gerber Blueberry Buckle (there is a story behind it) but things had gotten so crazy we never got around to it. Right before we left Jack had some veggies for lunch with a little Blueberry Buckle to top it off. Yummy!!!

Nina came over to say good-bye. Jack loves his Grand-Buddy.

You knew it would be in here somewhere...the group picture with Jack, Papa C, and Bebe.

Jack did great on the car ride home. We have spent today (1-2-08) unpacking, putting away the Christmas Decorations, and enjoying being back at home. Do you think Jack has enough toys once we added his Christmas presents? That is all of them in his "cage" minus the Tiger from Brian, the ride on toy from Maw Maw and Paw Paw, and the Band Wagon from Uncle Greg and Aunt Stacy. We are going to pack some away and rotate them out....although he had fun rolling around in all his toys today.
