While Jack and I were in Louisiana we had a feeling Nick was up to something...just wasn't sure if he was so distant because he was surprising us with something or if there was another lady in the picture. Once we walked in the house we saw that he obviously was very busy...but not in the cheating type of way.

The black, oval kitchen table we bought awhile back was finally put together with a new light fixture hanging above it, and a beautiful new bowl on the table. We are still looking for affordable black chairs to go with it that are heavy enough that Jack won't push them around the house.

Obviously the whole house was spic and span clean (even the dreaded shower) with place settings even arranged on the bar.

The big mirror was painted black and the mantle was just what I had been envisioning...pictures, clock, and other odds and ends that make it look complete.

This wall had 4 pictures horizontal on it and I never thought it was enough for such a big space. Now there are multiple pictures of Jack and two burnt red iron decorations too.

Finally curtains to make the room look like we live here and didn't just move in. The colors match perfect too!

The old pictures from the living room wall were moved into the entry way-love recycling.

In the guest room which we often talk about turning into a "playroom/office" he put the old kitchen table next to the bed which was pushed against the wall. There is not only some floor space now...but the printer isn't stationed under our bed anymore.

Not only did he get organic compost from the city (for free) with the help of Patrick but he also planted flowers and bought two huge pots to take the place of the trees we cut down in the front yard.
All of this wouldn't have been possible either without the help from Angela who did the majority of the design work and shopping for the bits and pieces added throughout. What a great friend!
I love, love, love everything and feel so good that it is done, I can cross it off my list, I didn't have to obsess and do any work with it, and it looks great.
We Love you Nick!!
