End of Summer-Back to School

We had talked all Summer about getting the group together before Back to School so at Nathan's Party we kinda invited ourselves to the Parnell's new house the next week for a pizza party before we had to officially report back to work. It was so great to be with everyone, the food was great, and Anderson (sorry...you'll always be my Anderson)....in the last picture you will see that Jack was just as sad as we all were to have to say good-bye to her. Thanks Parnell's for letting us invite ourselves over and it was great to spend the evening with Nathan on his actual birthday. His face is so sad in the picture on here but it is the only one I had...he was alright...sad his Mom left the room...Hope your birthday was great Nathan!

Pure Shambles

This time we can't blame Jack for the house being in shambles...but this time it is for real in shambles. We are having wood floors installed in the living room and hall (compliments of Jack's stomach bug last week...of course this couldn't have been done all Summer when we were home). They delivered the floors last week so they could get used to our house and came today to install them. Nick and I had to officially report to work today so with everything prepared for the installation, Jack having a terrible night, and having to be at work earlier than ever...we set off. Patrick so KINDLY offered to work from our house to supervise....well...long story short...some of the wood was scratched, the house is in shambles, and now the new wood has to get used to our house and it will be installed on Wednesday. The one day project didn't go as planned which isn't easy with a 16 month old and us trying to get into a work/daycare routine. I think tomorrow will be a bouncehouse night after work so Jack can actually play somewhere other than the little bit of carpet in front of our bed.

Two good things did happen today- Jack's backpack & lunch box name tag came in the mail. They didn't come out quality wise as I expected but are cute, will do the job, and saved the backpack/lunch box from monogramming which means we can reuse it...practical huh?!? AND Jack's Halloween Costume came in the mail...you'll have to wait til October to see our little man all dressed up though :)

No longer just a Sous Chef

I have been selling a ton of stuff on Craigslist lately...mainly toys Jack has outgrown or teacher things. While listing things I was often checking to see if we could upgrade Jack from his Fisher Price kitchen to a more realistic one since he is into more pretend play now...This one was close, affordable, and Nick won the rat race (lady responded to another potential buyer and us in an email saying first one to get here gets it...are you kidding me...luckily I was posting stuff, saw the email, and was able to navigate Nick via cell phone and he beat the other buyer...who does that?!?).

After sanitizing it Nick set up the guest room with playhuts, mats, and his other toys. The next morning he was in heaven...spent just about the entire day back there cooking away....LOVE IT!!!

Once things are back to normal around here (next post will explain) we'll take more pictures of the playroom but right now it is a storage room. Still plan to add to it but that will have to be after back to school...

Another Day With the Relle Clan

I got this idea from a Mommy Board I visit. You carry the camera around with you all day (like I don't already do that) and document your whole day, compile it, and share. That way friends and family get to see what your days look like and later you have it for the kiddos to see too. I only wish I had seen this idea back when Jack and I were together alone so he saw what it was like to be home with Mommy all day. Guess this is what a weekend looks like with the Relle Clan...maybe one day we can capture our new routine once things get settled.
