I Smell T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

I have this rule where I won't get Jack out of his crib til 7 or later in the morning. This is to avoid the start time of our day from creeping from early to earlier. So this morning I hear him up but I roll over to go back in bed because he is just talking to himself and playing with his crib toy. They say that silence is bad...all of a sudden I hear silence so I jump up in a panic to hear him breathing REALLY LOUD in the monitor which is strange because it is on the table next to his crib. Then all of a sudden I hear this terrible CRASH. I jump up and "briskly walk" to his room and peak in the door. He is all the way in the corner of the crib with his hand through the bars above the bumper. I instantly know what it is and get the camera to catch this bundle of TROUBLE in the act...Jack has reached through to not only get and knock the monitor onto the floor, but also push the table over which leaves the plant just barely on the table. I quickly have more visions of life in the Relle house as he continues to grow and figure out what he is capable of. After me snapping this picture, out popped WubNub, and that huge smile made his little mischief alright in my eyes...I won't tell Dad!

Notice in the picture how when I entered the room Jack was sitting up. This is a new trick he mastered while in Baton Rouge...well problem is...he gets up in his crib in the middle of the night but then has anxiety about getting back down. He'll cry til we come and lay him down or like the other night....Nick went in and he was asleep, sitting up, with WubNub in his mouth. Poor thing...but it is really kinda funny!

I've also been taking pictures when Jack tries out new veggies in hopes of catching some more yucky faces...but he likes them all (which is great and suprising considering his Dad's picky taste buds)...so far we have had applesauce (not a veggie I realize), green beans, squash, and sweet potatoes. I keep going back to peas...but the gagging starts back at the first bite. We're not giving up though. Sunday we are trying avocado and then we move on to the fruits.

Video Rama

Here is a video from inside Tiger Stadium after LSU beat Florida. The alma mater had been sung and the fans were singing as the team left the feild. What a game!

This video is of Mike the Tiger when we took Jack to meet him. He loved that ball...Jack wasn't as interested as the older kids and adults there.

Jack loved playing with Aunt Deborah. This was taken after he had been belly laughing for a good 5 minutes with her. His laughs mid way through were turning into squeals of excitement. He loves his Aunt Deborah!!!

While we were in Louisiana Jack learned how to get into a sitting position from being on his back and tummy. I instantly called Nick to lower the mattress because with the rails on the crib and his new talent....TROUBLE!!

This little boy is going to be crawling any day now. He can get into the stance and has the determination...just needs his transmisson to kick into gear. I am enjoying my last few days of him not being mobile...although he can already scoot/roll/throw himself around the room and has found a lot of things he isn't supposed to play with (VCR, Electrical plugs, you name it).

Jack is 7 Months Old!

More to come for this post at a later date...

Class of 1997 Reunited

The Class of 1997

Here is a picture of those that were at the morning tour of U-High. Boy, it looks NOTHING like the school we left behind. The only thing that is the same is the stairs (torn up gripper tape and all). They have done a great job...but now my memory visions of U-High is confused.

Jack had fun playing with Eric Tyson in the art room
(which used to be my 3rd grade class room).
After the tour everyone walked over to the Chimes for lunch. Jack and McKenzie had a "beverage" at the bar. How appropriate for a U-High Function-Babies at the bar!

After a drink at The Chimes Kim, TJ, McKenzie, Deborah, Adam, and Robin came back to Mom and Dad's for burgers and football.

Jack had fun playing with Aunt Deborah. He is much bigger now than when she saw him in June.

Better late than never....we finally got to meet Adam (Deborah's fiance) and good thing we both approve because they are getting married in January!

One more shot of the Class of 1997...more people were at that bar portion of the reunion...wonder why?!? While we were reliving old times Jack was back at home with Mom and Dad. His napping had been non existent so they bathed him, rubbed lotion all over him (too bad it was sun tan lotion), had to re-bath him, and he was finally down for the night. Good times for all!
