The Many Faces of Jack

Since I know many of you are facing the stress of the Holidays I figured I should offer up doses of Jack to help keep you in the spirit. We've been very busy with Holiday parties, Gymboree, and have hair (he needs a trim already) and doctor's appointments (9 month check up with our new pediatriction) the rest of this week. I'm also just now starting his actual scrapbook so any free time is going to that. Life will be so much better when I get back on my ADD meds a the end of January...I'll be able to focus more. Soooo....in other words postings might be sparse, but you'll see us soon enough :)

Jack and I were all bundled up on Saturday when the whole family went to a make up Gymboree class. We had a make up class from his RSV days, it was cold and a great way to get out with Dad, and I went along to catch a whole class on video so Jack can see later how much fun he had every week playing with his friends and Gymbo. Don't you love his hat and scarf that Nick bought him. The mittens aren't his favorite.

Here we are AFTER his bedtime bottle when he is normally eyes rolling back in his head...not this night...he was ready to play. Don't mind the "cage" in the picture...he really doesn't mind it.

Here is where the title of the entry came from...Jack is such a happy, smiley baby now. It's hard to imagine that this was the boy that I would fret over him not smiling enough and now...he is smiling and laughing at EVERYTHING-makes me feel good because he always laughs at my jokes! My heart just melts when he crinkles up that nose, squints his eyes, and shows his teeth while making a squealing noise.

Had to include this one because....well, I probably don't have to say why but I will- LOOK AT THOSE EYES! They are big, bright blue, and beautiful. Thanks Nick!

9 Months Old!

I can't believe my little baby has gotten so big. He's now eating diced fruits and veggies, Stage 3 Gerber meals like spaghetti, and he has moved out of Pampers Swaddlers and is wearing Cruisers. March 15th is going to be here before we know it...Don't worry I've already started thinking of themes for his First Birthday.

We are going to our new pediatrician for his 9 month check up on Thursday. He'll be getting a once over, one shot, and I have a page of questions to ask. I'll post his stats after the appointment.

Northlake Holiday Party

With no nap after McKinney Trade Days and the Photo Shoot with Nathan Jack was a bit fussy while Nick and I were trying to get us all ready for the Northlake Holiday Party. It started at 4:30 but because of us running behind, the weather being horrible, and the traffic being plenty...we were very fashionably late...like 2 hours late. Everyone had eaten already but no worries there was still some left for us.

Jack is so cute that all the pretty ladies want a turn to squeeze and kiss on him. How could anyone resist those beautiful blue eyes?!?

We've kept little man Jack up 2 nights in a row past his bedtime...he's been a trooper but the rest of the weekend it is responsible parenting...in bed by 7:30.

Here is a not the best video...but we were cracking up too much not to try to share it. Tonight for some reason Jack turned into a puppy dog...his tongue was in and out his mouth the whole night...he would even start licking people's shirts. So...sorry it is sideways, bumpy, and hard to see but try to watch his tongue. Maybe it has something to do with the kennel he plays in during the day?!?!

McKinney Trade Days

This morning Ashley and I were supposed to take the boys to the heated Open Gym Time at Gymboree. Instead I decided that we should take advantage of being stay at home moms and hit the McKinney Trade Days on a Friday rather than ever trying to brave it on the weekend. Knowing that January and February was going to be to cold and not wanting to wait til the Spring...we bundled the boys up and headed out. It wasn't exactly what we thought...but figure that we could still give Canton a shot since it is probably an up scaled version of this and it was good exercise.

"Be lucky that we're bundled up Nathan...last night she took me out in the freezing cold with only a blanket and socks on my hands."

Once back at the house it was time for what else...a photo shoot. Both boys have the same Gymboree outfit (same size no less 3-6 months-yes, Jack is 9 months) so we wanted to get some pictures of them dressed up as twins. As always...an adventure that results in me uploading way too many pictures...but hey, they are too cute not to share them all.

"Alright Nathan...I've gotten much better at this smile quick and it is over thing...show your pearly whites like I am."

"Koochie, Koochie, Koochie....turn that smile on and look over at your Mom."

"There we go Moms...both boys are smiling...that's probably the best your gonna get...now put that camera away so we can play."
