Swing Set

Jack saved up his money FOREVER to combine with money from us and other relatives to get himself a big boy swing set.  We finally got around to ordering it but new that once it was delivered it would be a big task to get it up and ready for playing.  Prior to purchasing I did some research so I knew what we were getting in terms of price, quality, and labor.  Once it was in the garage and I was amazed that the contents of these two boxes would become what we ordered, had me looking closely at reviews on our specific brand/model.  So when the boys were ready to start the project I was able to provide them highlighted notes from articles, reviews, and other web resources so that they were hopefully not blindsided and set back by at least the steps that tripped up others.  The instruction manual was long and intense, but nothing compared to the bag of nuts and screws!  First step was to sort the boards, second step was to sort the screws (note:  those are not 6 packs, 12 packs...not sure what they are....maybe a beer factory in Papa and Nick's shirts below).  Once everything was sorted...it was time to get to work.

 At the end of a LONG day one after sorting, sorting, and sorting the boys had to come to a stopping point as it was hot and tough on the mind than they had imaged.  But of course Jack needed to test out the progress that they had made before calling it a day.  The next day I had a plan to save the day....get Jack out of the house.  I took him to see Rio at the movie theater to give the guys a few hours of interruption free work. Bless Jack's heart...he carried around a pencil and wanted to help so desperately.  But Bebe and I did our best to stay sane while trying to keep him happy and entertained inside.  Barely made it!

 Pretty sure the guys should be working and not having a little tea party under the fort. And Papa must have had too much tea because he is playing peek a boo!  After their fun, games, and VERY HARD WORK the swing set was finally finished.  Jack gave it a full inspection-and it passed.  Noah too inspected his swing and LOVED it!  Despite the undertaking sitting back and watching Jack enjoy his swing that he waited so patiently for was priceless!
