2009 winding down.

Wow, I can't believe another year is winding down. What a year it has been. My years go academic which I know isn't the norm for most normal people...but if I have learned enough this academic year...it is that no one is normal. There is no such thing as normal. So our years in the Relle Clan will be academic....so I say a year is winding down but really the New Year is almost here meaning strictly that my date on the board will look different....but my planner continues to June when the year officially ends. :)

Here is Jack's Watters picture from this year. Gosh he is such a big boy.
Our little angel.
Pictures with Santa worked out much better this year than last. Now nothing can beat our hook up year one at Northpark but last year we stood in the cold forever to get a picture with Santa. This year Jack was getting his hair cut at 9:30 which is right next to Santa so while him and I were inside the salon Nick went and got in line. He was around 12th in line and there were still 30 minutes before pictures taking started. I changed Jack's shirt, we sprayed some extra hair spray, and headed out to meet Nick who required hot chocolate. In line a little boy punched Jack and he handled it so calmly...so did Nick and I....the mother of the little boy who happened to be named Jack...sucked. She did nothing. Oh well, Santa was watching so I hope that little Jack enjoys his coal.
Jack was not scared, he was excited, right when it was time to snap the picture he got a little spooked so Santa gave him a little tickle. When asked what he wanted for Christmas...Jack merely said toys. Santa told him he usually doesn't make promises but that he would make this one...that Jack will get lots of toys this year for Christmas....Sure hope he doesn't disappoint...It is a recession!
For those that didn't get a card this year-um recession-sorry. Our goal was to let technology be our financial friend so we uploaded it on the facebook, emailed it out to some, and here is it on the blog. Thanks Angela for taking the pictures and designing the card for us this year. What a perfect picture of The Relle Clan together.

Things I don't want to forget thus far about Christmas for Jack at age 2:

~Santa's nickname is Ho Ho

~Reading the Elf on the Shelf and naming our Elf Doc (1st choice was Boy)

~Learning to say, Ow, Ah, and Oh to Christmas decorations

~Requesting toys and books from HoHo

~Thinking that his Poland jacket that Jeremy brought him is from the North Pole where HoHo lives

~Being scared of the Christmas Monkey on Rudolph (aka the Abominal Snowman)

~Making his first Gingerbread House with Mom and Gingerbread Men with Olivia, Willow, & Ethan (all at different times)

~Forcing us to get change not for his piggy bank (like usual) but to put in the Salvation Army anywhere we go that there is a bell ringing

~Often getting Joseph (as in Mary, Joseph, & Baby Jesus) mixed up with Nicholas because of his cousins who are named Nicholas and Joseph

Happy Holidays from The Relle Clan!
