Weekend Recap-"Not Fair"

So I realize I left some of you hanging on Wednesday with the Incident Report in the Wordless Wednesday Title...Sorry. We got a call at work on Wednesday that Jack had injured his head but that they were treating it and at that point he was fine. Turns out he was running across the classroom to hug a teacher that walked in and ran into the table. I'm assuming that it was pretty bad because I was able to pick him up twice this week (Amazing huh?!) and they were all still talking about it. Apparently ice wasn't something Jack was interested in once the crying stopped (30 seconds so we are told), so they just gave him the pack to put on at his leisure and coated it with Vanilla Extract to help with bruising (Who knew?!).

It was pretty swollen that first day, then turned black/blue, and now it is that funky yellow color. He's still the same old Jack so I guess it wasn't a hard enough hit to knock some sense into him.
Papa and Bebe's package finally made it! This has been a running joke because the day they left for their trip (to the Canyon-not Washington so awhile ago) they kept saying Jack should be getting a package any day from them. Whenever they would call to check in we would tell them that no package arrived from them, but over time while waiting for their package Jack did get a package from Nana/Gramps, Blake, AND GG (Thanks guys! Jack loved all his mail). Long story short...not pointing any fingers (no hard feelings...got your note Uncle Brian)...the package finally arrived a LONG time later and made Jack's day!
"Finally!!!" "Hurry Dad...Open it up already!"

The package had a cool recycled music card, a stuffed monkey, and a ton of Teddy Grahams which caused a fit because we wouldn't let him have them since we were literally about to sit down to eat dinner....he did get them later though I promise (so did we!).
We had planned a trip to the State Fair today with the McWilliams but long story short...allergies kept us from going last minute so we decided to have an indoor playdate to allow for the parents to reschedule the rest of the month's activities to make sure to fit in a trip to see Big Tex. Jack took a little nap waiting for the McWilliams and when they got here Jack was still down but Olivia wanted him to play with her, so after awhile we busted in to wake him up....He was confused but happy to see all of us staring at him when he woke up.
While we were visiting the kids were playing nicely in the living room. See Olivia having a little drink and Jack chewing away on his Little People Construction Worker.
Until Olivia decided she wanted to sit with her boyfriend Jack in his chair. His Face-Love It!
I guess this was Jack trying to get back at her for sitting on him (well really him sliding down after getting in trouble for climbing on the back of it and trying to scale the wall). Olivia wasn't too impressed!
But eventually the cute couple was able to work it out and fair share the chair.
When it was finally time for Olivia and family to head home for afternoon naps everyone said their good-byes...although the adults good-byes weren't this touchy feely. Enjoyed the visit and looking forward to the weekends full of fun this October!
Saturday the Relle Clan headed out to IKEA to buy the rest of the stuff to outfit Jack's playroom. It was pretty much cleared out of adult stuff, but we needed to sell the bookshelf and buy storage for all the stuff since walking in there was dangerous. Sunday while Jack was napping we started but had to finish up after he woke up. He was so bossy, but a good help. Notice him snacking away while instructing Nick to hang the red storage box right there.
He did a great job of standing in the "Pretend Play/Dress Up Corner" (I know...he isn't so interested right now and we don't have many dress up things but you better believe I'm starting the collection after Halloween this year when things go on sale!).
He even did some manual labor carrying the heavy tools and supplies to Nick while he was measuring out where to hang the metal bulletin boards. And Angela...thanks for the advice on the paint color....we decided to leave it be and even though the red and light green aren't the best color combo...it is done. :)

Check back later this week for some cute, cute (yet some sideways and kinda Blair Witch style) videos of Jack dancing to the music card, riding in the wheelbarrow, and playing with his parachute in the playroom.
