Jack in the City

Here is a picture of Jack with Santa from my camera. We'll try to get the ones we purchased scanned for ya'll. He did so good! Didn't cry, but wasn't too sure of the bearded man either. Getting his picture taken with Santa took a bunch of Angels to make it happen.

After Nick experienced the Northpark Santa line yesterday we knew we needed to call in help from our City Angels. Miley had to be at work today at 9 AM. She had one of her employees (Angela) go stand in line for us at 10 AM when they started passing out tickets for Santa which didn't open til 12:30. The line when she got there was already out the Santa booth and was 3 stores long. She was able to score us ticket number 57 which would get called between 2 and 3 in the afternoon. This saved us from having to drive to Northpark for 10 and keep Jack happy til our turn. We were able to get there at 2 o'clock and 20 minutes later got our picture taken. The number that they were passing out when we got there was 197. CRAZY! Thanks Miley and Angela!!

Since we were at the mall we went ahead and walked around checking out all the people, decorations, listened to choirs, snacked, did a little Christmas shopping, and of course bought Jack a thing or two. Since Miley was getting off work at 5 we decided to stay in the city til then and have dinner. The gang (Miley, Jeremy, Trey, and Meredith) met us at Royal Thai for a lovely dinner...well, as lovely as it can be in a nice restaurant with a baby that has been in a stroller/car seat for the majority of the day.

Here is a picture of Jack and I since I'm always the one taking them. Would be nice if you could see both my eye huh?!?

The wait staff brought Nick a complimentary fried bananas for his birthday...candle, song, and all. This probably had to do with the fact that Trey and Meredith are frequent customers so they all knew them and what they order everytime. Nice to have the hook up like that...what a day of knowing the right people.

By the end of the meal it was pass around Jack to keep him entertained. He wasn't bad...just squirmy! Here he is with Trey.

We knew it was time to pay the tab and head back to the country when Jack was done pulling out his own hair to move around...but was pulling out Jeremy's.
It was a great night...hope we get to do it again...but next time I might suggest ordering out and eating at someone's place so Jack can be free to roam while we eat.

Now we're back in the country and tomorrow starts another week of playdates and Gymboree classes.
