Collin Creekin' It...

After being couped up in the house all day Sunday because of Jack's case of the "red ass" we decided to get out the house Monday and try something new...The Collin Creek play area. Although I had sworn off mall play areas until I could relax and let Jack run free- this one is so close and we'd never given a try so...off we went. Karen called as we were leaving so her and Olivia jumped in the car too so we could have the Collin Creek Experience together.

I tried calling 3 times before we left to check what time the toddler play area closed for cleanings and the customer service girl hung up on me all three times right after I asked the question. That is a whole other issue....but guess what time the toddler play area gets cleaned...yep, 3:00 to 3:30...we got there at 2:57!
When we were walking to the play area I had remembered passing a little section of ride on cars so we decided to let the kids walk back to that entrance...Jack saw a bench and decided he needed to take a little rest.
So then Olivia decided that she too was tired and needed to rest on the bench with Jack.
Once we finally made it to the rides the kids had a good time. Honestly they would have had just as much fun without our $.50 making it move since it has a steering wheel and buttons to push. Don't I make a great human seat belt?!? Here is the crew although I must say this picture is pretty dysfunctional...but not nearly as dysfunctional as the precious Sweethearts pictures we took of Jack and Olivia in the photo booth afterwards. Then it was pretzels from Mr. Pretzel's....that is why they closed the play area- so us suckers that were looking for a free activity would spend money on dirty rides, take random pictures in the photo booth, and eat pretzels...I'm on to them!
By then it was 3:30 so we headed back to the toddler play area and boy did it get crowded fast. Jack and Olivia had a blast...us on the other hand...not so much. You really break a sweat following them around making sure they don't break their necks. Pretty sure Nick and I lost it with this too big to be in the play area boy when he crushed Jack against the inside of the tunnel...OK...not really crush and Jack wasn't fazed, but we were pissed because he was running everywhere and was clearly taller than the hand on the "Rules" sign...the Mom I believe put a spell on us with the eyes she kept cutting us from then on out.

Our Manny, I mean Nick, took the kiddos for a stroll while Karen and I hit the Stride Rite store before calling it an afternoon.

Good times...not sure when I need to visit the Collin Creek Mall again...loved the adventure!
